The ANINE BING ❥ Gina Tricot Collection

In addition to the upcoming launch of BING KIDS, I’ve been keeping news of another collection under wraps, waiting for the perfect time to share. So here it goes! My design team and I have been busy at work on a one-time limited collection with the Swedish fashion brand Gina Tricot, and we’re calling it The ANINE BING Tour.

Gina Tricot approached me with the idea last year, and I just had to say yes—it’s such a natural fit for the ANINE BING brand with our Californian-meets-Scandinavian aesthetic. Growing up in Sweden, I wore Gina Tricot clothes from the time I was a teenager. It’s such an iconic, coming-of-age experience for young women in Scandinavia to shop there, so the opportunity to align the ANINE BING ethos and aesthetic with their community was something I couldn’t turn down.

When we set out to develop a concept for the collaboration, we envisioned a capsule collection based on L.A.’s music and festival culture with its rock ‘n’ roll spirit (think: Coachella). There were long days-into-nights spent in L.A. with the Gina Tricot design team huddled over coffee, and then in December, my team flew out to Sweden to make sure each sample was perfect.

Working with the Gina Tricot team was exactly what a collaboration should be—organic and inspiring—and the collection shows it! The ANINE BING Tour includes new interpretations of our signature pieces, like the perfect leather jacket, statement boots, a cargo military jacket (my favorite piece in the collection!), cool rock tees, flirty camisoles, your perfect black lace bra, cozy knits, and great denim, of course. But we also looked outside our core pieces and had fun designing more playful accessories, like sunglasses with hearts on the lenses.

Stay tuned for more details on our AB x GT collaboration. The collection launches April 12th, and I’m so excited for you guys to see and try it. To start, the pieces will only be available for purchase in the EU, in select Gina Tricot stores and on the website, but we’ll make it up to the rest of you in the future!

I hope you love it!
